Крестово-купольный храм Пресвятой Богородицы располагается в деревне Цилкани (Мухранская долина), расположенной в 15 км от Мцхета. Одно время был одним из важнейших христианских центров.
Несколько слов о том, что такое крестово-купольная архитектура, немного о тетраконхах и триконхах. Статья не перегружена умными терминами. Для наглядности здесь выложены несколько фотографий с планами этих церквей.
Появление трех величайших кафедралов ознаменовало собой политический подъем страны и новый этап развития грузинского зодчества. Хронологически следуют один за другим следующие храмы: Кутаисский собор, более известный, как храм Баграта, далее Мцхетский собор, или Светицховели, и Алавердский собор в Кахетии. В некоторых источниках к великим соборам причисляют еще и храм в Ошки (Тортумское ущелье, ныне территория Турции), появившийся во второй половине X в.
В Тбилиси на сегодняшний день всего две действующие синагоги. Все они расположены в старом городе на улице Котэ Абхази (бывшей Леселидзе). Одна из них грузинская синагога, другая Ашкеназская. Есть еще одно интересное здание - бывшая купольная синагога, где располагается музей евреев Грузии.
Руины кафедрального собора в селе Ниноцминда. Это в 40 км от Тбилиси от автовокзала. Добраться можно на маршрутке до Сагареджо (от станции метро "Самгори").
