Винно-коньячный завод Сараджишвили

Винзавод сооружен в 1894-1896 г.г. по распоряжению князя Л.Д.Вяземского. Архитектор - А.Г.Озеров. 1-ый винный завод располагается на развилке улиц Петриашвили и Меликишвили. Это недалеко от 1-го корпуса университета им. Ив. Джавахишвили.

Квеври (груз. ქვევრი) - это большие керамические кувшины, обычно с острым, коническим дном. Квеври можно сравнить с амфорами (др.-греч. ἀμφορεύς "сосуд с двумя ручками"), служившими, в основном, для хранения оливкового масла или вина. Только отличительной чертой квеври является отсутствие ручек.
